Social Democrat candidate Cllr Carly Bailey has been eliminated following a recount of the seventh count.
The South Dublin County Councillor has said that she is “very proud of all the efforts” put in by her team, who she is pictured with.
“We have lead a great campaign and I think overall I am very happy because people have voted for change,” she told The Echo.
Solidarity-People Before Profit’s Paul Murphy took a whopping 2,406 transfers from his running mate Sandra Fay and is currently on 11,028 votes.
Outgoing TD Murphy looks set to retain his seat following the elimination of Cllr Bailey as he is just 233 votes below the quota.
