Sandra Fay (SPBP) watching the recount in Dublin South West this lunchtime. The Tallaght teacher was two votes ahead of Deirdre O'Donovan (FF) after the 5th count - which prompted O'Donovan to request a recount. Sandra said she was happy with the turnout and high preference votes in the campaign, and that she hopes to see her transfers get Paul Murphy elected.

Outgoing Minister Katherine Zappone pictured in upbeat form in Citywest this morning, with her team saying they are still on the hunt for a Dublin South West seat. Zappone (Ind) is currently sitting in 6th place, with 4,441 votes. More than 3,000 of Ellen O' Malley Dunlop's (FG) votes are currently being redistributed.

People Before Profit's Gino Kenny told The Echo this morning that it's 50/50 at this point as to whether he'll retain his seat in Dublin Mid-West. It's looking like Emer Higgins (FG), Gino Kenny (PBP) and John Curran (FF) will go head-to-head for the final two seats in this four seat constituency. Sinn Féin's Eoin Ó Broin and Mark Ward took the first and second seat respectively.
